Kancha Sherpa, the last surviving Sherpa of the iconic 1953 Everest expedition is an Everest legend. As a young porter from Namche Bazaar, he helped guide and support Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay to the summit, forging a path in mountaineering history. Kancha’s achievements extend far beyond Everest: his lifelong dedication to Sherpa culture, education, and community leadership inspires new generations.
